In April I . . .

May 6, 2025 by readanotherpage 4 Comments

I did a lot of things in April! I was very busy and it doesn’t seem possible that it is May already! But what did I do?

In April I . . .

  • Mowed the yard twice
  • Closed up KDWC from March
  • Pulled well over 100 volunteer cedar trees
  • Did the public testing before the election
  • Pulled countless weeds
  • Read 2 short stories
  • Worked the Election
  • Dug up a lot of bricks
  • Helped build two raised gardens
  • Was a part of certifying the election
  • Planted 48 Impatiens
  • Dug up wild onions
  • Attended the closing Awana program
  • Read 11 new books
  • Shoveled more than a truck load of dirt
  • Planted 4 New Guinea Impatiens
  • Helped transplant 4 mini Hostas
  • Sifted half a truck load of dirt
  • Planted 2 dill, 2 fennel, 2 parsley plants
  • Went to a garden shop in the cold, pouring rain
  • Reread 2 books
  • Splashed in puddles with my rain-boots
  • Got a year older
  • Attended my nieces’ and nephews’ end of school year program
  • Pulled vines
  • Designed a cover for “The Red Heart Cafe”
  • Got 8 used books for my birthday
  • Walked 42.5 miles
  • Formatted, uploaded and ordered the proof copy of “The Red Heart Cafe”
  • Sorted thousands of Legos
  • Created a new garden around a young tree
  • Met one of our new neighbors
  • Picked up sticks
  • Ate ice cream
  • Talked to way too many spam callers

In April I didn’t . . .

  • Write

Not at all. Not one single, solitary word on any story. I don’t know the last time I didn’t write a single word during a month. Even in my busy Decembers I usually write at least one day.

What did you do in April? Anything fun?

Wow, not one single word? So sad. :_( But I know how it is to keep so busy with a whole plateful of other things! Thanks for helping out with the elections. Very important.

*Is reminded of the need for mowing the lawn* If it would only stop raining … 😛

It was rather strange, but nice at the same time because now I’m ready to get back to work.

Ah yes, the mowing. We’ve had rain and rain. But finally enough sun to mow. And now we’re supposed to get more rain. 😉

I love that you splashed in puddles with your rain boots. That is totally something I would do.
Also, hope you had a fun birthday! 🥳
