These quotes and song just speaks so strongly about American men and women. It’s a reminder of those who didn’t give up even when the odds were against them and the world said it was no use. It’s a reminder of Who gave us our freedoms. We are American strong.
One of my favorite quotes comes from an unnamed World War II fighter pilot who somehow got separated from his squadron in battle and found himself facing a horde of Japanese planes on the other side of the Pacific island over which they were fighting: “Somebody come and give me a hand!” he shouted into his radio mike. “I’ve got 38 of ’em cornered over here!”
