There are many book series. Some are more popular and others are not. I thought it would be fun to have a series about book series and share some of these with you all.

Penny Parrish by Janet Lambert

Overview:
Penny is the oldest daughter of an army officer. She grows up on army bases until WWII, but wants to become an actress. She gets married, has a family and a career but is still the same lovable, emotional, passionate Penny.

Main Characters and Relationships:
The main characters, Penny, David, Carroll, and others are great. I love the brother-sister relationship between David and Penny. Family members love and respect each other. There is some romance as David falls in love and gets married, and eventually Penny does too. But the romance is sweet and clean.

Pros and Cons:
Some great life lessons, learning to get along with others, standing up for yourself, and more.
There is smoking among the guys. There are some swear words as this is not a Christian series.

My Thoughts:
I love the Penny books! Penny and Carroll are dears and the books make me smile, and relax. It is easy to mark out the swear words which aren’t in there all that much, and still have a wonderful story.

How Many Books:
There are 6 books in these series, but Penny is in many other books as well.
