5 Fall Favorites – Top from 2025

September 27, 2025 by readanotherpage 19 Comments

Welcome to the final day of the Five Fall Favorites 2025. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye and not come looking for more books every day. But my TBR pile, at least, will thank me. How am I going to read all these books? Do you need some pumpkin scones to eat before you go on? I have some that just came from the oven. They are so good with that icing melting over the top!

You should know the drill by now! Check out my books. Visit the blogs on my team. Head over to Kate’s blog (link on a cute image below) to find her books, and then set off on a bookish adventure to all the other teams and blogs and watch your TBR stack grow!

But wait! Don’t run off yet!!!

Because it’s the last day, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the books shared! I’m mean this is 800+ books! And some of people shared series! (Totally not fair, by the way. *ignores the fact that I have shared multiple series*) To make things easier, we’ve compiled a FFF book list of almost all the books that have been shared during this blog party. You can download it, print it, mark all those books you want to read, and start working your way through them.

But that’s not all! Some bloggers might be giving away one of their books or stories for free today, so make sure you stop by each one and check. (And let them know if you enjoyed their posts too.)

If you’ve ever attended a FFF before, you know what today’s genre is. Yep, it’s the Top 5 books from 2025. So let’s get right to it, shall we?

Helen Lester
by Isabella Alden

I reread this for the unknownth time this year and loved it all over again. It’s hard to believe that is was Isabella Alden’s very first published book. And she wanted her friend to throw it in the fire because she thought it wasn’t any good. Instead it won first play in a contest.

April Gold
by Grace Livingston Hill

I read this book for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure I would like it at first because of some things but it got better and Thurlow and Rilla were dears. A sweet book.

The Blackout Book Club
by Amy Lynn Green

This was an interesting book about a small town in New England and the WWII blackouts and a library, and several ladies all with completely different lives who come together over books. It wasn’t overtly Christian, and one character is Catholic, but it was clean and good.

Shadowed by Grace
by Cara C. Putman

After having this book on my TBR list for a number of years, I finally found a used copy and bought it. I really enjoyed it. It was interesting to learn about the Monuments Men as that was an aspect of WWII that I was not really familiar with.

Grandma’s Attic Series
by Arleta Richardson

I’ve read and reread this series for as long as I can remember. And this year I’m reading it all over again and loving it! I absolutely love Mabel and even if Sarah Jane does annoy me at times, I still like her. There is just so much to like about these books. If you haven’t read them, go do so!

And that’s it. I have more favorite’s this year, but I’ve shared many of them in other posts this week. Now I need a comfortable chair, or maybe a couch, where I can sit and look through all the lovely books I’m adding to my TBR stack.

Rebekah, thank you for this list. I read In Grandma’s Attic in school, and it definitely deserves a re-read. April Gold I have read multiple times, and I have read Helen Lester too.

And thank you so much for the downloadable book list!

    Grandma’s Attic is BRILLIANT!!

And my mom loves GLH’s works, so I have read April Gold, but it’s been a long time. I should work back around to it…

Yes, Grandma’s Attic! My mom read every GLH she could get her hands on when she was young, but I’m just now working my way through some of them. 😀

Yessss Grandma’s Attic!! I think I only have two books left that I haven’t read now. And the rest on this list look so good!
Also, yay for Finding Home!! It’s one of my favourites of your stories!

10 or 20? Hmm… *goes to count up* I added 91 books this year. ;P And that’s not counting the books in series where I only added the first one for now, or the books that were already on there and are now higher priority. Now to see how many of these I can find and read. XD

Thank you for hosting, Auntie!! It was so nice having you back. And a lot of those recs came from you. *eyeing overflowing wagon*

91?! Wow Lyds! You certainly have some reading you need to do! 😀
Well, Finding Home is just a fallish story, so it seemed perfect. And it’s not too long. Glad you love it. <3
You're welcome! It was good to be back. *hands Lyds some motivational chocolate so she can organize and read her new books*

Thank you so much for hosting FFF again, Rebekah! (And thanks for the free story.) I’ll be busy catching up on some of the other posts I missed, so it’s kinda like FFF gets extended just a bit lol.

You’re welcome, Lil! An entire week with 17 bloggers each sharing 5 books a day is a lot! I think it’s a great idea to extend it. 😀
