You came back! I guess your TBR stack didn’t fall over during the night. Or did it and you don’t want to crawl under your bed to retrieve those books, so you are just going to start another stack?
Either way, I’m so happy to see you again. There are so many books to share and read, so let’s just jump right into it. Have some apple cider to sip while you browse today’s books.
If you are new, here’s the basic rundown. Check out my books. Visit the blogs on my team. Head over to Kate’s blog (link on a cute image below) to find her books, and then set off on a bookish adventure to all the other teams and blogs and watch your TBR stack grow!

Today’s genre is Indie! I know we’ve done that before, but it’s so much fun to be able to share books by fellow indie authors. The trouble is that it is getting very hard to pick because there are more and more indie books. Which is a good thing. But here are my Top 5 Indie books. At least right now. They might change tomorrow.

Library Blitz series
by Courtenay Burden
These are all short stories, but they are all so delightful and have such interesting bits of WWII history in them that I’m always eager to read the next story.

Falling for the Preacher
by Hannah Foster
So real, so lovely, so full of love and heart and struggle. And yes, I had to laugh at parts, and I almost cried in others. I story I fully enjoyed.

Lighten Our Darkness series
by Sarah Beth Brazytis
This series is so good! You might have thought you’d read all the WWII books, and know about all the different parts of the war, but have you read about the Polish Air Force in England? No? Then read these books. They are so good, real yet clean and not depressing or graphic.

Heart of a Warrior series
by Kariss Lynch
This series is good, intense at times, and yet so real. I love the relationships, the faith aspects, and the time of humor and fun.

Lore in Love
by Kate Willis
Such a lovely story. Sweet, fun, and the ending was perfect. This might be my favorite of Kate’s books, but maybe not.
I could have shared another 5 or 10 Indie books, but for some reason the ones who created this party decided that we would make it hard and only allow 5 books. (Unless we do series. Shh, don’t tell the hosts that I’ve found a way to share more than 5 books.) And I really wanted to share two other books, but since “Puddles of Joy” and “Canyon” aren’t published yet, I couldn’t.
Giveaway Time!
You do NOT want to miss this year’s giveaway! We will have two winners this year since we have so many bloggers! So be sure you get your entries in. Some you can do every day.

Do you have any favorite Indie books? Or maybe some favorite Indie authors? I’d love to know about them. Perhaps I’ve already read them, but maybe I haven’t.

The Library Blitz series is the best <3 and I'm so glad you did the Lighten Our Darkness books; they deserve to be mentioned every year! Falling for the Preacher and Lore in Love were really good too <3 I've never heard of Heart of a Warrior before, but imma go check it out!
Yes, I had to get Library Blitz and Lighten Our Darkness in there! You would probably enjoy the Heart of a Warrior series.
Okay, I haven’t read that Kate Willis book yet… adding that to my TBR pile now!
Glad you’ve added it, Cate. 😉
I love the Library Blitz stories! Even though I’m currently a little behind on reading them. And Lighten Our Darkness is so good! I need to read the others in the series.
At least it’s not hard to catch up with the Library Blitz stories since they don’t take long to read.
Yes, if you haven’t read the other Lighten Our Darkness books, you need to!
Ooo, all of these look good!
~Ellie
They are, and you should read them. 😉
Ooh, the Lighten our Darkness series looks good! I’m always on the lookout for more WWII books!
That series is definitely worth reading! Library Blitz is also WWII.
Awww, thanks for mentioning Lore! <3
Of course! Happy to give that sweet story some more love!
Oooh, Lighten Our Darkness looks neat! *hastily adds to pile that threatens to topple, props it up with broom*
It is well worth reading. *hands Rose and empty box to put some TBR books in*
I have never heard of the Library Blitz series. More books for my TBR!
Oh, they are such delightful stories! Short, but so good!
I want to read Lighten our Darkness! I really enjoyed reading her Harmony Street series earlier this year. And I enjoyed the first Library Blitz story! I’m collecting them, and maybe one of these days I’ll read them all straight through. Also, it was sweet of you to mention Canyon!
Oh, that would be fun to read all the Library Blitz books at once. And yes, you really should read Lighten Our Darkness! I think you’d enjoy them. Of course! I’m happy to mention books I really like even if they aren’t published yet. 😉
Library Blitz and Lighten Our Darkness, yes!!!! 😍😍I haven’t read the others and never heard of Heart of a Warrior, but it looks interesting!
And I’m looking forward to reading Canyon 😁
You’ve got some reading to do, Lyds! And yes, Canyon was even better than Willow! At least I think so. 😉
Falling for the Preacher was so sweet! I need to read Lore in Love still and check out the Library Blitz series. I think I already have book 1.
Oh, if you already have it, you should read the first Library Blitz story! But you’ll want the next ones. And Lore in Love is . . . lovely. 🙂
Hehe, I’ve noticed quite a few series being recommended today … I was glad, because although I’ve already had the first two Lighten Our Darkness books on my TBR, I could add the third one! I actually have one of Courtenay Burden’s Library Blitz books, as well, so I should read that pronto.
Hanna
Yes, add that 3rd Lighten Our Darkness book! It’s another wonderful story. And yes, go read the Library Blitz story! At least if it’s the first one. 😀
Yet another reminder to read Courtenay’s series!! (eyeballs them on my kindle, alongside the ARC I’ve got going and KU loans… eh heh heh)
Hmm, sounds like you might need to get busy reading. 😉 Since I’m sure you have all the time in the world. 😛
