It has occurred to me, that tips on writing are always helpful. I mean, it is good to be reminded of certain aspects of the art of writing that we often neglect. And so, to help you remember, I’m going to give you a quick lesson on writing. Please pay close attention.
1-
Infinitives . . . it’s wrong to ever split them.
2-
The passive voice is to be seldomly used.
3-
Ambiguity is more or less okay.
4-
Rhetorical questions . . . Who needs them?
5-
Subject-verb agreement are important.
6-
Contractions aren’t necessary.
7-
Prepositions are not good to end sentences with.
8-
Exaggerations is among the all time worst mistakes.
And there you have it. I hope you were paying attention and take to heart these rather confusing and contradictory instructions.
Which is your favorite of these “important writing tips”? Do you agree with any of them? Have you ever heard writing advice that just doesn’t make sense? I’d love to hear what it was.

Enjoyed it! 😀 My favorite was #6 because reminds me of something I said in first or second grade (I was homeschooled all 12 years). I remember being upset because one of the lessons was to write the contractions for the words and I didn’t want to do it. I told my mom, “I don’t want to talk that way!” She replied, “You just did.” haha.
