There’s a lot to be said about these planners!
Not only are they great for writers (check out last week’s post), but I love using mine for other things. It’s just nice to have everything in one place. It’s not quite my “brain” but it comes close.
Ready?
Don’t you just love that colorful pocket? I realized I needed a pocket to hold some of my file cards with all the different steps needed to complete a project, so I grabbed some scrapbook paper, folded it, and punched holes. (Yes, I bought myself a hole-punch just for this planner.) On the left are a few of my lists. My library list, and an outdated list of the unread books on my kindle. 🙂 I think I should get a new list. I also have a list of the books I read for a reading challenge, and things I need to do, or anything really. And yes, I will flip the pages over and use the other side.
Let’s just take a moment to admire those cute business cards. 😉 I needed a place to put them, so I got an envelope, punched holes and behold, the perfect pocket. (It also holds some addresses too.)
These pages I designed because I needed them! With over 40 published titles I can no longer remember how many words a book is, or the price of it. (Maybe I’m just getting old?) So I created these pages (printed on back and front). At the top I write what sort of stories are listed: Novels, Christmas, short stories, collections. Then I can write down the number of chapters, the title, and the approximate word count. Oh, and the price is jotted down on the far right side. 😉 You won’t believe how many times I refer to these pages!
As you know, I adore Christmas stories. I have one page that is Christmas books that I want to read from the library, another page is a list of Christmas books I have on my kindle or in the house that I haven’t read, and hidden behind those pages is a long list of Christmas books that I have read, but haven’t shared in December yet. These are not special pages. Hmm, that just game me an idea, maybe I need to make a special page just for my “24-Books-before-Christmas” lists. That’s the list you see on the right. Sure, you can look as closely as you want because it’s the 2017 list. 😉
And there you have it. A look at how I use my WriteMind Planner. I didn’t show you all the odd lists, or random notes. Or the sections of blank pages waiting to be used.

That’s really cool! It was fun to see sneak peeks of author’s business cards/flyers. 😀 So from the website it looks like the WriteMind planner cover is not available… is that right?

I don’t know. I can ask her. 🙂 I thought she still had the full planner, but maybe not. I’ll check.

She said she doesn’t sell the physical planners any more, but here’s a link to resources she’d recommend for getting your own. https://perryelisabethdesign.com/wmgear/
