I saw this tag on Kate’s blog and it looked fun. I mean, what’s not to like about a post with books you love? Nothing? That’s what I thought.
Thanks to the original creator, Naty’s Bookshelf for starting this tag.
Let’s get going, shall we? Now the original rules say I am supposed to link to the one who tagged me. (Kate didn’t really tag me, but we’ll pretend she did, okay?) And I’m supposed to link to the one who created the tag. (See above for link.) But, there is nothing in the rules about naming more than one book per category, so . . . I’m just not allowed to name the same book more than once. *thinks of the 800+ books on my shelves* I can do that.
A Library Book
The most recent library books I read were The Time-Saving Mom, and it was really good even if I’m not married nor a mom. And A Lady’s Guide to Fortune-Hunting. I’ll admit I got some good laughs out of this last book.
A Book You Got as a Gift
Which one or ones, should I pick? I’m going to go with Speak Truth in Your Heart, and Dancing with My Father. Both are so good, so full of truth and encouragement. If you haven’t read these, go read them.
A Childhood Book
This is hard. How far back do I go for “childhood”? Really young? Middle grade? Early Teen? Let’s do one of each, shall we?
Really young: Baby’s Birthday Every little girl should read this book.
Middle grade: Baby Island I don’t care if this book isn’t exactly realistic, it was one of my favorites.
Early teen: The Family Nobody Wanted I need to reread this book. Please excuse me for a while . . .
A Magical Book
I don’t read books with Magic in them. And if you are talking about magical as in delightful, lovely, and such, then . . . I don’t know.
A Romantic Book
I guess this means it should have romance in it, huh? A Brother Beloved and The Light in My Window.
A Steamy Book
I’m sure I have some book that takes place in the jungle somewhere . . . Exodus to a Hidden Valley was really good.
An Old Book
Oh, you would put this in here, wouldn’t you? How many should I share? I know! I’ll do authors.
Isabella Alden “Pansy” (I have read well over 100 of this author’s books and stories.)
Ralph Connor (Just note that he sometimes uses swear words.)
Francena Arnold (I really have read all her books even if I haven’t reviewed them all on Goodreads.)
A Book that Makes You Happy and/or Laugh
I’m sure there are many books that make me happy, but very few make me actually laugh, and one of them is Five Star Spy. And I’ve already read it four time and I’m sure I’ll read it even more.
A Book that Makes You Emotional
Hmm, emotional as in crying? Or as in laughing? Or just emotional and touching? Left to Die was rather emotional for me the first time I read it. Glad Tidings had me laughing and crying and everything in between. I’m sure there are more, but I don’t want to give you too many.
A Book Whose Ending You Dislike
I hate to say this, but I really disliked the ending of Kate’s Informant. It wasn’t quite as bad as Whom Shall I Fear? which I read once, and no longer own because I refuse to read it again, but . . .
A Book You Wish Had Illustrations
I don’t know if I’ve ever wished a book had illustrations unless it was when I was young.
A Book or Genre You Love Reading When It’s Raining
Um, since I read all kinds of books rain or shine, I can’t think of any specific book or genre I pick to read when it’s raining. It all depends on my mood, what I’ve been reading, what I feel like reading, and that sort of thing.
There you go! What’s on your bookshelf? Share your books with me! I’d love to know what you read. Consider yourself tagged if you want to be tagged.

So fun! Looks like something I’d enjoy filling out at some point. And now I want to look up some of the books you mentioned. 🙂
