What About Your Books?

January 9, 2018 by readanotherpage 14 Comments

My mom came across this quote in a book she was reading several years ago, and I just had to share it with you because it seems to describe our house and bookshelves.

. . . He points out that when he removes one book from a shelf the others maliciously spread themselves to fill the hole before another can be inserted, and we even entertain the idea that our library has pups when our backs are turned. It stands to reason that we couldn’t afford to buy all the books we seem to own, but they must come from somewhere, and we don’t approve of stealing so it isn’t that.

~Elswyth Thane

Does that sound at all like your books and shelves? Would you like a tour of my bookshelves?

Haha. That doesn’t quite describe my bookshelf, although I do have so many books. There’s about eight books I don’t have a place for.
Yes! I’d love to see a tour of your bookshelf. πŸ™‚

    Love,
    Ashley

Don’t you love overflowing bookshelves though? πŸ™‚ I’ll see if I can get a tour for you. Maybe I can start it next week. (I think it’ll take more than one week though.)

Yes, my house has overflowing bookshelves. Not to mention there are a load of books in the cellar stored in tote boxes and on a few shelves. My sisters and me received a lot of books for Christmas. Now we must find a place for all of them.I would love to see your bookshelves .

I’d do a video tour, but I don’t have a phone that would do that. πŸ™‚ So you’ll have to stick with photos and words. πŸ™‚
