Typo Trouble

September 10, 2024 by readanotherpage 10 Comments

I’m a writer. I type a lot. But this doesn’t mean my typing is always accurate. And sometimes Autocorrect doesn’t help at all!

I thought I’d share some of my “oh dear” typos with you all. After you read them you might want to consider twice before deciding to be my friend.

Closet Friend
I’m not sure if this type of friend is a make-believe friend who lives in my closet, or if I actually keep friends in my closet. Perhaps I just shut them up in there when I’m tired of them and then let them out when I want a friend. Hmm, I’m not sure how friendly they would be after being shut in a closet.

K asked if B wanted someone else to eat
Oh dear! Now I have characters who eat other characters! I didn’t think I had such people in my stories, but apparently I do. And I really, really hope B wasn’t hungry for someone else!

The sunlight spilled in and eliminated the small space.
Hmm, is this a good way to eliminate stray cats, poison ivy, unwanted characters, etc? Or does it only work if the sunlight spills in? Hopefully I don’t try this with my friends. I’d hate to see them eliminated. And what if it eliminates things like houses and cars? Now I’m wondering if I’m starting to write science fiction!

I wish he would kiss the groundhog.
Um, just so you know, he was talking about a dog. But still, a dog kissing a groundhog? What kind of dog goes around kissing a groundhog?

Like I said, I’m not sure you will want to be my friend after knowing what sort of stories I seem to be writing. 😉 And no, this is not all the typos I’ve had! I just can’t remember all the others.

Which is your favorite typo? Do you have any funny typo stories? I’d love to hear.

Sure! I don’t mind living in a closet… much… especially if there’s all your other friends in there to keep me company too! And besides, closets are dark and presumably safe from elimination-bent sunshine. I’m just a bit concerned about someone trying to eat me. 😬

Uh, yeah. That sunshine is dangerous. But sometimes friends are if they eat people . . . But maybe you’d be safe in a closet.

    This is hilarious. XD

I like closets, don’t worry, they’re nice and quiet and no one disturbs you while you’re reading.

*feels like that was permission to stick Faithie into a closet to become my personal “closet friend”*
