Today . . . Tomorrow

September 28, 2021 by readanotherpage 6 Comments

What are you doing today? What have you been doing today?

I came across this quote and it really made me think about my actions right now.

What I am today may directly affect what others will be tomorrow.

Author unknown

Are your actions and attitudes right now influencing for good or bad? You may say no one is watching, but that’s not true. What you do NOW is going to affect you later today, and that is going to influence others either now or later.

Do they see Christ in you?

Do they see love to others, forgiveness, forbearance, and friendship?

Do they see you admitting when you are wrong?

Do they see you memorizing and meditating on God’s Word?

Do they see you turning to your Father when things are hard?

Do they see you casting all your fears and worries on Christ?

Just something to think about. May you go forth today and each day with the remembrance that you ARE affecting others. Is it for good or bad?

Reminds me of a favourite verse from Isaiah 26:8-9: “the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early . . . “
