The Great Idea Quest – Part 2

March 20, 2018 by readanotherpage 2 Comments

In my search for answers of what inspires other bloggers to write, I decided to go to other bloggers and see that they had to say. I asked them two questions:

1. Do you ever struggle with trying to figure out what to write a blog post about?

2. Where do you get your inspiration for your posts.

I had such good answers that I thought you all might enjoy reading them even if you don’t blog.

Victoria Lynn from Ruffles and Grace replied:

1. Do you ever struggle with trying to figure out what to write a blog post about?

Yes indeed. I think probably every blogger does at some point.

2. Where do you get your inspiration for your posts?

Multiple places, but probably the most prevalent is something I am interested in. If I have something that interests me, or was something I wish I had information on (and I therefore found it out myself) I like to be able to share that with others. Whether it be something that encouraged me spiritually or in life, or if it’s some bit of information that helps me accomplish something.

Blessing Counter over at Counting Your Blessings says:

1. I definitely struggle with trying to figure out what to write a post about! A lot of the time, especially before, I would worry over what would actually seem interesting to people and since people’s interests vary, it was pretty stressful trying to find something that everyone would enjoy.

2. The past little while, I’ve been getting my inspiration for posts from my daily life. Little blessings that oftentimes get overlooked, or bits of randomness from my life. Sometimes, the Lord will put it in my heart to write a deeper kind of post so I’ve written a couple of those as well.

From Whimsical Writings for His Glory, Jesseca writes:

1. Do you ever struggle with trying to figure out what to write a blog post about?
Yes, lots of times. However, I’ve realized that, for me at least, planning ahead of time and making a blogging scheduled and sticking to it helps a lot. Because then I don’t have to come up with something to post about right on the spot. And whenever there’s something I want to post about, I can jut go ahead and post about it whenever I want instead of feeling like I need to wait till the ‘post’ day. Because said post day already has a post scheduled for it. 😉

2. Where do you get your inspiration for your posts?
Oh, goodness. Everywhere? Nature, books, songs . .  .it really doesn’t take a lot to get me inspired to write. And my blog posts are usually about writing, so it works out well.

Faith Blum shares:

1. Yes.

2. Most of the time, my blog posts end up being book reviews. Otherwise, it really depends.

Over at Stories by Firefly, Faith has this to say:

1. Sometimes, I struggle to come up with original ideas for blog posts, but other times I have oodles of ideas.

2. My inspiration for posts can come from a number of places. Other bloggers, books I’m reading, my writing projects, or lessons God has been teaching me lately.

I hope you have enjoyed this great Idea Quest and the answers I received. I know it’s helped me. Thank you, lovely bloggers for sharing what gets you blogging. If any of you readers have tips, I’d love to hear about them!

How cool! I’m glad you got so many helpful answers! Sometimes an inspiring quote inspires me to write too, or maybe a song… if that’s helpful at all, hehe! 🙂
