Is your TBR (To Be Read) stack about to conquer you? Do you have so many books to read that you often struggle picking your next book? Are you always adding to your stack and not reading the books you already have waiting for you?
Yes?
Me too!
So guess what? I have a solution. While it may not completely conquer your mountain of books to be read, it will hopefully help. This year’s Read Another Page Reading Challenge is focused ALL on TBR books! Yep. Every. Single. One.
I realized I needed helping working my way through all the many books waiting for me and I kept hearing that others were having trouble too.
Now, before you jump into it, let’s consider a few things.
Q: Do the short stories have to have chapters.
A: No, the short stories can be just that. Short. The rest of the book should have chapters.
Q: Do my books need to be on a TBR list on Goodreads to count?
A: No, any books you own on a kindle, bookshelf, have on a mental list, a paper list, or a TBR list on Goodreads count.
Q: Can I purchase a book to read in 2021 if it was already on my TBR list but I didn’t have it?
A: Yes, if it is already on a list, making a purchase or borrowing a book still counts.
Q: If I find a book I really want to read after January 1st, can I count it if I add it to my TBR list?
A: No. This challenge is to work on books already on your TBR list not new books.
Q: Is there a prize or something if I reach the end of this challenge?
A: Yes! I actually have a point system created that you can earn points for reading books, reviewing books, and inviting friends to join the challenge.
Q: What can I do with the points I earn?
A: The points can be redeemed for kindle books or audio books from me. Once you join and have read your first 4 books (any 4 from the list, they don’t have to be read in order) I will send you a special link to find out what you can get.
Q: How do I join?
A: Simply send me an email (you can use the contact form if you want) and let me know you want to join.
Should you join or not? Here are a few pros and cons to consider.
Pros
- You are overwhelmed by your TBR stack
- You need some accountability
- You’d really like to get some of those books read
- You like creative ways of picking what book you read next
- You get 6 months to complete the challenge so no rush
- You need something fun in the middle of everything else
Cons
- You only have a few books on your TBR stack and most aren’t available
- You prefer to read without accountability
- You have no interest in most of the books on your TBR list
- You already have a system for reading your books
- You tend to push yourself to finish the challenge early and don’t have time.
- You are already overwhelmed by life

Are you going to join the Challenge? Have you ever done a reading challenge before? Do you have a lot of books on your “To Be Read” list or just a few?

😛 Well, some people add a bunch of books and then look at it later and wonder why they added them. 😉
