I read this book first some years ago and enjoyed it, so when I found out that Kate was redoing the cover and doing some editing, I got excited. The new cover is so cute and attractive.
They were silent a moment each thinking of the strange clue and even stranger signature. Anna was first to speak. “It seems like some sort of treasure hunt.”
A boring summer vacation turns into an exciting adventure when Anna and her brother David discover a mysterious note. Soon they are hunting for clues, solving puzzles, and cracking codes–all on their own farm!
My Review
I had been wanting to read this book, but saved it for a quiet Sunday afternoon. It was delightful! The story was simple yet well written. The characters were real and made me wish I could join in their activities. It made me want to read more about this sweet family. 🙂 This would be a great book to read with younger children or let them read it themselves. (Older ones just may find themselves enjoying it too. I did!)

Have you read this book? Do you have younger siblings who might enjoy it? Or does it sound like something you might like to read? Have you ever participated in a treasure hunt? I’d love to know!
