Welcome to 2022!
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11
It seems strange to type that many 2s in the year, doesn’t it? What does this year hold? I don’t know, but I’m thankful God does. I’m making plans, more like goals really, but I’m going to hold them lightly in my open hand knowing that my plans might not be His plans for me this year.
My Goals for 2022:
- Write my new secret project
- Write Don Wood
- Finish Lawrence & Lenexa
- Finish up one Christmas Collection story
- Run and participate in 3 KDWCs
- Host another Reading Challenge (more of that below)
- Work 3 elections
- Read 1 non-fiction book a month
- Start teaching again
And now, the moment you all have been waiting for . . .
Read Another Page’s 2022 Reading Challenge!
This year I’m going to have 3 different variations of the challenge. You can pick which level you want to be in.
Level 1
Average Reader
The book you read can be ones you’ve already read, from your TBR list, or new books. The only requirement is that they must fit the categories in the challenge.
Level 2
Advanced Reader
For this level half of the books you read MUST be from your TBR list (books you’ve wanted to read since before 2022). They must also fit the categories in the challenge.
Level 3
Adventurous Reader
For this top level ALL the books you read for this challenge MUST be from your TBR list (books you’ve wanted to read since before 2022). They must also fit the categories in the challenge.
For each level you can earn points that can be spent in the Earn a Book room/page. The 1st level earns you one point per every 2 books read after you’ve read 4 books, and another point per 2 reviews after the first 4 reviews. Level 2 earns the same as Level 1 but you can earn up to 5 bonus points if you complete the challenge. Level 3 earns the same as the other levels but your bonus goes to 10 points if you complete the challenge.
If you participated in last year’s reading challenge and didn’t spend all your points, those will be added to the points you earn this year.
For more information head over to the 2022 Reading Challenge page.
Are you planning on joining the reading challenge? Have you ever participated in a reading challenge before? What are some of your goals or plans for this year?

Looks like you have some good goals for this year! I haven’t made a list yet, but I do hope to publish my first book or two this year! Spend more time doing fun things with family, complete the reading challenge, write more books, and some things like that. 🙂 I’ve never done a reading challenge before, so I’m really excited!

Those sound like some great things to work toward!
The first reading challenge I participated in was so much fun! I hope you enjoy this one. 😀

Oh, this looks fun! I like the idea of breaking it into different categories! Reading challenges can be fun – if you have to time to complete them. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to read lately. I’m aiming to read about 60 books this year, though. (And I am quite behind on my goal. 😝)

I’ve discovered that even taking 10 minutes to read helps me get through books. Or spending 20-30 minutes reading before bed.
