Off the Top of Your Head Book Tag

June 18, 2024 by readanotherpage Leave a Comment

Kate Willis over at Once Upon an Ordinary stole this tag (but stealing isn’t nice, Kate!) from JessetheReader’s YouTube channel who got this tag from someone else, but I couldn’t find a link for that person, so . . . Kate said anyone could grab it, so I did. I didn’t steal it. Promise. It’s not stealing if you have permission.

The goal of this tag is to share the first answer that pops into your mind. This could be interesting. We’ll see how it goes. Ready? Of course you are. I’m not sure if I’m ready.

What was your favorite picture book as a child?

Nancy Plays Nurse and Baby’s Birthday.

What book series did you love as a child?

Misty Of Chincoteague and Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka.

What is the worst book you’ve read or tried to read?

I can’t even remember the name of the first book I ever hated (besides school books about Hitler and Stalin) because I pushed it out of my mind I guess. Let me see if I can come up with it. I had to go find a picture in the photo album that had the cover of the book. It’s Whom Shall I Fear? And I will NEVER read that book again!

What is your favorite reading or book memory?

My grandpa reading Heidi to me the Christmas I was 7 when I had the chickenpox.

What is a book you loved as a movie?

Little Lord Fauntleroy I grew up watching the movie with Ricky Schroder and Alec Guinness. We tried watching another version but it was awful!

What is a book you wish that they would make into a movie?

Uh, . . . the Emily Abbott series? Only they’d really have to get the right people for it. And it would be a lot of work, but . . . It was the first thing that came to my mind, so there.

What is a place you want to visit because of a book you’ve read?

Prince Edward Island.

What is a nonfiction book you’d recommend?

Dancing with My Father

If you could hang out with an author for a day, who would it be and why?

Can I just say all my Indie Author friends? Let’s have a big get together and hang out. Why? Because it would such fun to meet them in person and get to hang out and talk books and writing and all that fun stuff.

And that’s it. Whew. That was fast. Some of those questions were easy, and others not so easy. If you want to do this tag, feel free, but make sure you link back to JessetheReader. Or if you can find it, the original creator of this tag.

Have you done this tag before? Feel free to answer these in a comment if you don’t have a blog. Do you know of any other blog tags you would like to see me do? If so, let me know.

P.S. Registration for KDWC starts today! And if you are wanting a Camp Journal that you can use for 3 camps, you can get one HERE.
