Of This, That, and The Other

June 11, 2019 by readanotherpage 8 Comments

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, I’m not going to be focusing on one thing. It’s going to be a mixture of things that are going on. Sort of like an update, but not quite.

If you haven’t noticed, I have a new short story up for reading! Right now it’s $.99, but on Friday – Sunday (June 14-16) it will be FREE! Some of you may have read it already if you’ve read my book Pirates of Rocky Crag Bay but if not, now’s your chance to read it. Isn’t the cover cute? I didn’t design it. πŸ™‚

Mystery shimmers in the summer air…

Mr. and Mrs. Cutlass are anticipating a hot, dull summer on the ranch, but when their niece and nephew arrive from the city with a young guest, all fear of dullness evaporates. The children are charmed with ranch life and intrigued by the mysterious recurring puddle under the pump and some strange findings in the hayloft. Will they discover a friend or an enemy at the end of the trail?

It’s hard to believe it’s June! What do you think of when you think of June? Weddings? Birthdays? Summer? I think of those things, but I also think about the ending of Read Another Page’s reading challenge. Yep, you all have until the 30th to get your books read, reviews written, and enter the giveaway. If you have already finished reading all your books, great! If you have finished reading but haven’t told me what you’ve read . . . better let me know! And if you are still reading, keep it up! You still have 2 1/2 weeks.

I love getting to see all the books being read and the reviews being written!

And now the next thing coming up is Camp NaNo! Right now I don’t have any novels started! It’s such a strange feeling. I don’t remember a time since I’ve started writing that I didn’t have at least one novel being worked on. So, what will I write in July? As of now I’m planning on writing short stories. Some of them will be Christmas stories since I have two already started, and the idea for a 3rd. I’d love to work on another novel, perhaps a Graham Quartet mystery, but I have to get an idea first. πŸ™‚

Do you have any stories you think I should write? Long ones or short? Have you gotten your books read for the reading challenge? Are you planning on getting my short story or have you already read it?

I think you should write a sequel to Hymns in the Hills!! πŸ˜€ (Yes, I know you may be tired of it because you worked on it so much, but I loved it!!)
I’m hoping to get the short story when it’s free, but the last time I bookmarked something in preparation for the free day, I totally forgot about it. :/ So I’m hoping I don’t forget this time! πŸ˜€

Well, I’ll try to remind all my Friday blog readers about it, so if you read that, you’ll get reminded. πŸ™‚
Ah, a sequel to “HitH” would be rather interesting, wouldn’t it?

I’m with Leona — you should totally write a sequel to HitH, which is my favourite published work of yours so far =) I’d love to go back and visit with all the characters!

Thanks. That’s a compliment to an author to hear her readers want more about the same characters. πŸ™‚ I can’t promise anything, but if some ideas come, maybe I will. πŸ™‚
