I don’t usually do this, but this year I decided to do a Christmas in July thing. So today I’m going to release a new Christmas novella. This story was written last November/December. I was actually thinking maybe it could be a Christmas Card story, but it got too long. And then I thought I would make it a Christmas Collection story, but no, it wanted to be longer. So you have a novella. And like my other two Christmas novellas (The Old Mansion’s Secret and His Law is Love), this one features a Christmas carol.
And now, without further delays, I’d like to present to you . . .
Why is Ella back in town if not for Christmas?
The last person Ford Merrick expects to literally run into in his high-end store is the cousin he hasn’t seen in five years. Ella claims everything’s fine, but she refuses to come to the house or join the family Christmas party, retreating instead to a cheap hotel without a word of explanation.
But the Merricks don’t give up easily, and an unexpected phone call changes everything. Ford is determined to help his cousin at any cost, but how can he convince her to accept it? And what will it take to open her eyes to the One whose love she’s rejected for so many years?
Find it on Goodreads or on Amazon.
I had fun writing a story set in a large city. If you’ve read my books you’ll know that large cities are not the usual setting for my stories. I’m more comfortable in small towns, on ranches, farms, or cabins in the woods. But changing it up for this story was interesting and fun.
Are you someone who reads Christmas stories any time of the year? Or do you save them for December? I would rather save them for December, but sometimes I just can’t wait. What do you think of the cover? Does the synopsis catch your interest?
