Is it just me, or does it feel like I haven’t given you a new book in a really long time? I guess I did release Summer Light late last summer. Or was it early fall? And you did get a new Christmas Collection story plus A Homewood Christmas in November and December . . .
But it’s May! And haven’t I been writing anything? Yep.
I’d like to introduce my new 95k word novel to you . . . The first book I’ve written that leans more toward romance than any of my other books while still staying clean, sweet, and fit for the entire family. Some of you may know this story better as “Kate & Kylie.” No, I didn’t keep that title.
May I present . . .
Is this all the plan God has in store?
Kylie Zeller hasnβt done much with her life since college, unless you count babysitting, house-sitting, and a job thatβs easier described than named. So when an old friend fresh from medical school and Switzerland turns up while sheβs waiting for her sisterβs new baby, his appearance sparks both fond memories and budding regrets for everything sheβs missed out on.
With her latest project drawing to a close, Kylie attempts to look to the future, but her plans seem blocked at every turn. Can she learn to trust Godβs timing even when His answer is βwaitβ? Can Mitch help her see that His path for her life may stretch beyond what she can imagine?

But that’s not all . . .
I’m going to give you a hit of what’s coming. I have a Christmas novella set to release in July, and I already have this year’s Christmas Collection story written, formatted, and cover designed. But I’m not releasing it until November. Sorry. (My niece would probably ask if I was really sorry, and I’d have to say, “No.” π ) But I will give you a hit of both covers and the first line of each synopsis. I wonder if you can guess some of what each story is about.

Why is Ella back in town if not for Christmas?
Christmas in the Same Country
Peace on earth, good will to men…
And that’s all. I was going to have another novella ready for you, but my grandpa was visiting and decided he wanted to read that story, so he borrowed my proof copy. That means that I can’t get the story ready until I get it back from him. π But I hope you enjoy what I can give you.
Which story are you most excited to read? Are you someone who likes to read kindle books or paperbacks? What do you think the two Christmas stories are about? Now what story are you hoping I’ll write and publish next?
Lydia Coral W says
I’m so excited about Kate and Kylie/Wherever He Leads!!!! And… and Katie!!!!!! That’s what I’m hoping you’ll write next now!!!!!!

Hmm, how did I guess you’d want me to write “Katie” next? π
Lydia Coral W says
I have no idea! I’ve tried so hard to keep it a secret… π

π Haha! π

This is so exciting about your new book! I really like how you are able to publish books often. I prefer paper back books, but sometimes I look for free downloads to see how I like a book before I print/buy it. π Your next book I’d like to see? Through an Author’s Eyes. (I’m not sure if you were including that one or not though…:D )

Ah, yes, I also prefer paper copies, but do read on kindle if I can get the book free or to try a new book and see if I like it.
Hehe, I forgot about that story. Not sure what’s going to happen with it. But it’s nice to know that someone liked it. π
Anna Lane says
Free books are always fun! That’s the only reason I read Kindle (for ARC copies, usually).
Anna Lane says
Such a cute cover! And I do prefer paperback over digital. Plus, I don’t want to be staring at screens for a long time anyway π And there’s something about holding a paperback that makes me happy, haha. I love books.

There’s just something special about a real book. π
Anna Lane says
For sure! π
Hannah Foster says
Oh, Yay! I’m excited for Wherever He Leads. Maybe I’ll get it for a summer read. It looks like it needs to be read in the summer anyway. π And I definitely prefer physical books!
readanotherpage says
Well, most of it takes place in the summer. π
Yep, physical books seems to still be the favorite way.
Hannah Foster says
I guess it’s kind of comforting to know digital/electronics haven’t taken over completely. π

Lilly Wiscaver says
I loved this book! And I noticed most the girl names were KDWC campers. π
readanotherpage says
You read it already? Wow! You caught that, huh? π
Lilly says
Yes, I did, as did my sister. We may or may not have stayed up too late reading it…
It wasn’t hard to catch. Plus, I saw my name. π (Whether or not that Lilly was after me, I do not know. But it was my name nonetheless.)

Congrats on your new book, Rebekah! And I hope your grandpa enjoys your proof copy of your other story!

Thanks, Lil!
Grandpa told me, “Wow! That beginning! Man, that really grabbed me!” π So hopefully he liked the rest of it.
Lillian-Keith says
Ooo, that’s always good news when readers say the beginning really caught their attention!

It sure is. π

Totally not pestering you about another GQ book. I listen to those two books almost every month it seems like.

π How did I guess that at least ONE person would ask for that? I should ask my niece if she has her petition started for GQ3. π
