My Writing Timeline – Part 2

January 28, 2025 by readanotherpage 4 Comments

Welcome back to the timeline of my writing journey. Last week I shared about some of my writing things before I was published as well as the first 7 years of my publishing journey. Now let’s move on down the road as a published author. Ready?

After last weeks flying trip from the start of my writing journey through 2017, we’ll jump right in with 2018.

2018

October – His Law is Love, a Christmas novella was published.

November – A new Christmas Collection story was released: Christmas Quilts

December – Stories Through the Seasons was published. This was a collection of all 12 stories I had written and published as kindle stories through the year. One a month. I published the collection only in paperback with the individual stories remaining on kindle.

2019

March – I published another short kindle story: Wonderful Peace.

May – My book with the longest chapters, Hymns in the Hills was published.
I also released a short story, Thank You, that month.

June – A Good Summer was published as a kindle story.

July – Toothpaste Trouble, a short story was published as a kindle story.

August – I published By Paths Unknown, another full length novel.

November – I published my first Christmas Card story: A Carol in Her Heart.
This month also brought another flurry of Christmas Collection stories: A Crazy, Crowded Christmas, Providence Christmas, and A Police Force for Christmas.

2020

March – I published my first pocketbook story that wasn’t a Christmas book. Goodbye isn’t in the Dictionary is the same 4×6 inches that the Christmas Collection books are.
I also published a short kindle story, To Give Hope.

April – Cookies the first of the Ria and the Gang stories was released as a kindle story.

June – I published 4 pocketbook stories this month. Missing: One Junior Ranger, Grandfather’s Mug, Choices for Max, and Mystery at Random.

July – One more pocketbook, He Answered My Prayers came out followed by the first of the Woodbreak books. Woodbreak – The Prequel, Jim Wood and Anna Wood.

September – What’s Wrong with Caleb? was released as a kindle story. Lake Wood, book 3 of the Woodbreak series was released, and another pocketbook story, What Tommy Didn’t Know, and a Christmas Collection book, Saving Miss Christmas were all published.

November – I published my second Christmas Card story, Go Tell It.

We only made it through 3 years in this post! But that was a LOT of books and stories! Some were long novels but many were shorter stories that finally saw publication and were able to get into my readers’ hands or on their kindles.

So, from all the books and stories listed in this post (29 of them!), how many have you read? Are there some that you love the cover of? Any that you have been wanting to read but either haven’t gotten the book, or haven’t made time to read it yet? Leave a comment and let me know.

Fun coincidence–this post picks up exactly where I started writing your synopses! (Well, most of them.) So it was a fun trip down memory lane for me as well! 😁

Was it really? Wow! I couldn’t remember which one you started on. How fun! And I’ve never regretted asking you that question so long ago and handing over my books to you for the synopsis. <3

Yep! His Law Is Love will always have a special place in my heart as the first one I wrote that wasn’t for myself or describing an old book that didn’t have one. 😊
