I’ve been tagged!
Nope, we’re not playing freeze tag. π Sorry. I’ve been tagged by Holly over at My Reel Life which means I get to answer her 11 questions, create my own questions and tag others.
Ready?
Tag Rules:
1 -Thank the blog that nominated you for the award. Thanks Holly! β
2 – Answer the questions they gave you. That’s coming, hang on! β
3 – Give 11 fun facts about yourself. Oh, those. Um, yeah, well . . .
4 – Nominate 11 other bloggers for the award, and give them 11 questions to answer. Can I count like my niece?
Let’s get started now.
1. What is your favorite book of the Bible and why?
Right now it’s Colossians. There is just so much to think about in that book and every time I read it I latch onto something different.
2. What is your favorite top 3 books?
Impossible question! *frowns at Holly* Okay, I’m going to pick 3 different authors and A favorite book from each because I have more than one.
- Three People by Isabella Alden
- The Deepening Stream by Francena H. Arnold
- Star Dream by Janet Lambert
3. What is your least favorite food?
Oh, an easy question! Salmon and raw tomatoes.
4. What is your favorite dessert?
This is almost as bad as my top favorite books! Um, Oreo Poke Cake, or Reece’s Peanut Butter Pie. I could go on, but I won’t run the risk of making myself even more hungry.
5. If you were able to travel back in time, what time period would you go to?
I’ve never been one to dream of living in the past though I love dressing in historical costumes, and I really don’t have a favorite time period in history. I think it might be interesting to go back to the 1940s so I could meet my grandparents when they were young. π
6. What is your favorite holiday?
I have two. Christmas and the 4th of July.
7. Apple or Samsung?
Apple. Is that even a real question?
8. If you could meet anyone from the Bible, who would you want to meet?
Jesus. Apart from Him, Ruth, or the apostle John.
9. What is your favorite blog to read?
Since I have a terrible time keeping up with blogs, I only follow some. I’m going to pick Once Upon an Ordinary because I’ve been reading it the longest and have done things with Kate many times.
10. Absolute favorite soundtrack from a movie?
I don’t usually listen to soundtrack music except when it’s on the movie. I do like Chariots of Fire though.
11. Kendrick brothers (Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous and War Room) or Erwin Brothers (Mom’s Night Out, Woodlawn, and I Can Only Imagine?
Kendrick brothers. I haven’t seen War Room, but I really like the other three. I did NOT like Mom’s Night Out.
Now what? Oh, yes. I’m supposed to tell things about myself. Tell you what, just go here and you can read things without me having to write them over again. Oh, you wanted 11 different things? Okay.
- I’m a roofer’s daughter.

- My favorite color is red.

Angie Thompson says
1) What blogger would you like to meet in person?
Hmmm… That’s a tough one. Probably either you or Kate at Once Upon an Ordinary. π That’s off the top of my head; I could probably come up with a bunch more if I kept going.
2) Do you review books you read?
I never used to, until I became an author and found out how important they can be. Now, I review just about everything! π
3) What is your favorite thing to do in summer?
Read. π
4) Would you consider yourself more of a fall or spring person?
Probably fall.
5) What are two things you canβt stand in books?
Taking this as pet peeves, not moral things that would actually make me put a book down… Sad endings. Seriously–I cannot stand tragedy at the end of a book. :'( Character actions that don’t make sense with their personalities or situations.
6) Do you listen to music while you write or read? If so, what kind?
No, for me, it’s distracting. I do like to make up music videos in my head for songs that fit my stories, though. π
7) What is your favorite blog to read?
Hmmm…I’ve never read many blogs until recently, but I’d probably have to say J. Grace Pennington’s. Really deep and relatable at the same time.
8) Have you ever met a favorite author in person? If so, who and when?
No, but I’d love to! Although I’d probably stand glancing at them from the corner for quite a while before I got up the courage to talk to them. π
9) Do you usually run out of money because you bought books?
No, I keep myself on a pretty strict budget (sigh, adult problems), but I love those moments when I find extra money I can use for books. π
10) Do you wear socks when you go to bed?
Not unless I’m unusually cold. π
11) Have you ever helped in a political campaign before?
I don’t think so, although I might have stuffed envelopes or something once when I was very young.

Great answers, Katja! Thanks for joining in the fun!
Wouldn’t it be fun to attend some kind of retreat and get to meet all these authors?
And I’m with you on #9. π I try to get new books that I’ve never read on kindle first and either free or on sale just to see if I like them. If I do, then I try to get a paper copy for my shelves that I can share with friends and family.
