Dear Readers,
Here I am at my grandparent’s taking a vacation from Camp. Strange I know. Who takes vacations from Camp? Me.
But let’s get back to camp.
We don’t have a full cabin, but we are almost full. There are only 5 empty beds. Uh, let me correct that. There are only 5 unclaimed beds. Some of us do like to spread out and if no one is sleeping in a bed, well . . . *clears throat* This month is a first for the cabin Next Door. It’s the first time that everyone has already gotten something written! All the other times there have always been at last a couple people who never got anything written. But not this time. Yes, some are more active than others, but it’s fun that everyone is working or has worked on their project.
Camp is going really well so far. The first week I was able to reach over 7k words! And that’s with the distractions on the 4th, and not writing on that Saturday because I went to a church picnic to celebrate Independence Day.
Last week was even better. By Thursday I was already at 10k words for the month, and by Friday I’d already passed what I wrote the first two weeks of Camp in April. I ended the week with 15,681 words written. That was actually kind of funny since I had started my Camp with the goal of writing 20 words. Then I found out we were going to be out of town for a week, so I lowered it to 10k. Then upped it to 15k, and then put it back at 20k. I guess I just can’t make up my mind. 🙂
This Camp is a bit unusual for me in that I’m not working on just one story. Nope. I’m actually working on a different one almost every day! So far I’ve finished two Christmas stories. (Be prepared for these new Christmas Collection books to come out before Christmas.) I’ve written almost 7k words of a secret project, gotten at least 8k words on Lawrence & Lenexa, and have started a new Christmas story. Not sure what else this month holds as far as writing goes. I guess we’ll see.
Now, if you need a little break from writing, and want something short and humorous to laugh about, you can pick up Toothpaste Trouble for free today and tomorrow. (July 16-17.) The cover for this story was designed by Rosalyn. 🙂
And since I’m writing, I should ask if anyone wants to join a blog tour for two new books coming out next month! One of them is my book, By Paths Unknown, and the other is Angie Thompson’s book, A Brother is Born. We have all sorts of fun ideas, but we need bloggers! So, if you are willing to help us out, please sign up here. If we only have a few bloggers, we’ll make it a one day event.
And that’s all I’ve got for today. Let me know what you have been working on.

I’d like to sign up for the tour, but first I’d like to ask, how long will we have to plan & prepare for it?
And thanks for the freebie! <3

Since the tour won’t be until the end of next month, quite a while. 🙂 I’m hoping to get the ARCs of my books out by the end of this month.

I signed up for the blog tour! And I also snatched up Toothpaste Trouble, although I haven’t read it yet- thank you! 🙂
And I think it’s funny that you took a vacation from Camp. xD But it totally makes sense, with Camp Nano! 😀
