Wow! I can’t believe it’s almost July! Crazy to think that it’s been almost three months since the last King’s Daughters’ Writing Camp ended. Where has the time gone? (If any of you feel like your days or weeks are dragging, it’s probably because you took some of my missing hours or days. Could you please return them? Thanks.)
Anyway, I’m going to keep this short.
Registration for KDWC is OPEN! This time we’re doing something we have named “Jubilee July” where campers just get assigned to the next tent on the list instead of picking the tent they want to be in. It’s going to be fun! I’m looking forward to getting to know some new campers in TT this month. And don’t worry, I am happy to get to see all the others again even if they aren’t in my tent.
Last camp my goal was to write 20k words. I ended up setting a new record for myself by writing 51k words. (It was also the first month I had my newly made motivational chocolate, so maybe that had something to do with it. I won’t say how much I ate.) This month I’m going for . . . 20k words again. 🙂 I know, I know, it’s not really exciting, but I have no idea what the month is going to be looking like, and I haven’t gotten even 20k in a month since March. Hopefully I can get a lot of writing in and can at least write 20k.
If you are a Christian lady of any age, and are looking for a place (online) to meet other Christian ladies from around the world, to be encouraged, challenged, and helped in your writing journey, you might consider KDWC. Check out our website for the Camp Rules, Statement of Faith, and more information.
Now I have to get back to figuring out what story or stories I’m going to be working on during camp. I might have to try some of the Motivational Meadow writing prompts again too . . . And there are those boxes of freshly made motivational chocolate that need transported to camp and stored in the large freezers to keep it fresh. I probably ought to help set up some tents too.
Have you ever attended KDWC? Do you have any writing goals for July? Maybe you aren’t a writer, but love to read. If so, what are some of your favorite genres or books?

I’m soo excited! I’ve set the biggest goal I’ve ever had yet! We’ll see if that ends up being a wise decision or not…lol. 😆

Yes!!! Already signed up via the newsletter! (Oh, and as for the extra hours…hehe, here’s a couple that I found hiding in my closet *sheepish grin*. I blame my new imaginary assistant for accidentally grabbing more hours than we needed XD.)
