Welcome to 2019!
The first post of this year, on the first day of the new year.
Did you stay up late watching the new year come in? Did you have a party last night? I didn’t do either. Right now I’m at my grandparents’ for most of the week just relaxing and enjoying time with them. I’ve stayed up to watch the new year come in one time. Way back when we went from 1999 to 2000. It was boring. π I decided then that I didn’t need to lose sleep over a new year. π
But this is a new year.
What am I looking forward to this New Year?
- Releasing Stories Through the Seasons
- Finishing and publishing Hymns in the Hills
- Teaching writing again
- Reading less (I know that sounds crazy, but honestly I’m ready for not quite as much reading.)
- Hopefully finishing and publishing By Paths Unknown
- Publishing a new Christmas Collection story
- Releasing 3 Audio books
- Camp NaNo
- No Elections this year! π
- Sarah Holman’s release of Kate’s Christmas
- More music specials for church
- Learning more about blogging, website building, and thing of that sort.
- And whatever else the Lord has in store for me
Oh, and one more thing! Read Another Page’s 2nd reading challenge! Yes, I’m doing a reading challenger on here again. It was so much fun doing last year’s, and I had several people ask if I was going to do it again, so here it is! It’s a different reading challenge than last time. I’m not sure if it will be harder or easier, but I think it will be fun. Don’t you want to join us? Just click on the image to be taken directly to the page with all the info. You can leave a comment on that page, or on this post telling me you want to join, and I’ll add you to the list.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to hit the road and see what’s ahead in this new year since my Guide is already there!

Two books I’m excited for and hoping they release this year is Protecting the Poor by Amanda Tero and The Needle Maker by Victoria Minks. And I am praying I can get the final two books in my Civil War series published. Can’t wait to see what God has in store!

Oh, yes! I want to read “Protecting the Poor” too! And I didn’t realize that Victoria Minks had another book coming out!
Have fun working on your final 2 books!
Ryana Lynn says
Thank you! Yeah, I’m not sure when Needle Maker is coming out or if it’s even on the 2019 docket, I just know she’s been working on it for a while and I can’t wait to read it!

Well, it sounds interesting. π

Add me! Yesterday I organized my shelf of TBR books by alphabet, and discovered I only have 8 more books I need to find (I’m aiming to do all physical books this year =). I’m sure I’ve got most, if not all, if the remaining letters covered in my TBR totes.=D Thanks for doing this again!
I’m looKing forward to “Protecting the Poor” too! And looking forward to getting a lot more writing done this year than last. Oh, I’m on my second NEO now. The space bar and “Q” key broke off my last one. =D Thank you again for introducing us!
Happy New Year to you too!

Yay! I’ll get you added. I think this year is going to be different since you can’t use one book for a couple different categories depending on what you need. π
Did you keep your old NEO? I had one that had a broken key, and someone else had another NEO with a different broken key, so she bought the other one from me, and just replaced the broken key. And you’re welcome! π I’m happy to spread the love of NEOs around. π

Happy New Year! We stayed up late but didn’t do anything special. I’m not into the parties and over-excitement.
I’d like to read more books this year. I didn’t set aside enough time this past year. I’m looking forward to Camp Nano again. I had to put aside my WIP so it’s just been sitting there. And I’m still enjoying my NEO!

It can be hard to know how much time to set aside for reading. π And yay for Camp NaNo. Hopefully you’ll really be ready to get back to your story soon.

Where do we write in to say that we read a certain book? It seems like there is no comment option on the β2019 Reading Challengeβ tab or the βBooks Read – 2019β tab.

Try the 2019 Reading Challenge page again. I think I have it fixed.

Comments weren’t available on the other page, so I’ll chime in here. I’m in! I don’t know if I’ll make it to the whole alphabet in a six-month period (usually I can do it in twelve months), but I’ll try.

Sorry about the comments. I think it’s fixed now. Yay! I’ve got you added. π I’ve never done a challenge like this, so we’ll see how it goes. π

Thanks, Rebekah!
