Ford Merrick hadn’t even planned on this enforced vacation, let alone his truck breaking down in a tiny desert town. He certainly wasn’t expecting his visit to a local cafe to end in a bruised jaw and the arrest of a bully. And he never intended standing up for a harassed waitress to lead to all-out war with the bully’s father, who holds the mortgage on both the cafe and Ariana’s farm. 

As Ford searches for solutions in the spiraling chaos, he can’t help wondering why God brought him here in the first place. Is his attempt to help making everything worse? Or can he somehow bring justice to the town—and perhaps find some answers to questions he didn’t even know he had?

A few fun facts about this book:

• It was supposed to be a novella between 15-20k words
• It ended up being a novel of 81k words
• The entire book, except the last chapter, takes place in 9 days
• I had to get a beta reader who actually knows about what I was writing about since I didn’t really know what I was writing about
• This is a sequel to “Tidings Bringing” but it can be read as a stand alone
