Christmas Collection Release & Blog Tour

November 13, 2017 by readanotherpage 2 Comments

Here it is! The day I’ve been waiting for for years! Yes, years. You see, I’ve dreamed of somehow publishing my Christmas stories but had never done it because I didn’t want to put them all in one book and then have to wait years before I had written enough for another book. So I’m really excited about today. And I hope you all are too.

Christmas tour

Why do I love Christmas stories?

When I write or read Christmas stories, I’m transported to another time, another place and the story wraps around me like a warm blanket. I feel the cold wind on my cheeks, the snowflakes stinging my nose. I smell the Christmas cookies, and the savory suppers simmering on the stove sets my mouth to watering. The scent of the Christmas trees bring a smile to my face, while I enjoy the sound of Christmas carols. I see the candle flame flickering in the window, a welcoming sight in the dark night. The warmth of the fire in the fireplace, the crack and pop of the sap of the logs, the sizzle of melting ice draw me closer to the blaze while in my imagination I hear the voices of the characters reading once again the first Christmas story, I hear them laughing together, and I smile when tears are dried, hugs are given, and joy and peace reign. As the last page is turned, and the story ends, I gently shut the book and give a little sigh. Even though the story is over, a bit of its charm and warmth remain, adding its own bit to the wonderful Christmas feeling in my heart.

I love to write Christmas stories. Longer ones, short ones, it doesn’t matter. Ever since I wrote my first Christmas story back in 2008, I’ve written at least one every year. Sometimes two or three. They have all been different. New settings, new characters, new situations. But there is always something that remains the same, and that is the real meaning of Christmas. I don’t have Santa Clause, reindeer, magic, or anything like that. These stories are meant for the entire family to enjoy. So grab some mugs, fill with hot chocolate, snag a Christmas cookie, and let’s get reading.

About the Tour

This is going to be almost as much fun as a blog party! *hands out Christmas cookies and candy canes* Each day of the rest of the days of the party I’m going to be sharing something about two of my Christmas books. It may be a tid bit from when I was writing it, a look at why I wrote it, or perhaps the story behind the story.

And, if that weren’t enough, there are going to be so many other bloggers who have signed up to share about these books. There are some interviews (with fun questions!), book reviews, and book spotlights. You aren’t going to want to miss this. *pours hot chocolate into cute Christmas mugs. “Whipped cream anyone? Or marshmallows?”*

So let’s get started and see what others are saying!
