With so many posts last week, I’m going to keep this one short.
It’s hard to believe that the Five Fall Favorites blog party is over for another year! I hope you all found a lot of new books to try. I sure did. I printed this 2018 FFF Book List and put a check-mark beside all the books that I have read, and then highlighted all the books I wanted to read. I ended up with 32 books highlighted. π How many did you end up adding?
After spending much of last week reading all the lovely blog posts, answering comments, reading reviews, updating the giveaway count, and things like that, it’s going to be strange not having so much interaction with everyone.
Now it’s back to normal life. Is there such a thing as normal life? I’m not sure. I know my normal will look different than your normal.
I wanted to share this short poem with you that a dear widow at church wrote many years ago. She just sent it to me, and said I could share it. I thought you all might enjoy it too.
Master Artist
Thank You, Lord, for the colors of fall:
It is the loveliest season of all.
Thereβs something in me that responds to the call
Of yellow and russet and red.Thank You, Lord, for the leaves falling down,
The dry crispy crackles of leaves gold and red.
There’s a longing in me to walk far from town
Before winter puts them to bed.Thank You, Lord, for putting in me
A small bit of artist that looks at a tree
And behind it, the Master Artist to see,
Before You I bow my head.By Helen Setser, 1987

So sad that’s it’s over! It was a lot of fun! π I added 28 more books to my to-read shelf because of this party, but oh well. π I love that poem by your friend!

Glad you enjoy the poem. π
Yes, it’s always a bit sad when the FFF party ends. It’s such fun reading everyone’s Top 5 books.
