Book #7 Home for Christmas

December 4, 2017 by readanotherpage 8 Comments

I can tell you need a new Christmas book to read today. One that you can get without making your purse even smaller. So here’s one that Free today.

Home for Christmas (Christmas Collection)

Home for Christmas

Rebekah A. Morris

Feeling that life is unfair when her father is killed in the front lines of France and she has to live with her relatives on a western farm, twelve-year-old Susanna Stanson runs away to the city. She decides that all will be well when she reaches her old home, but a severe snowstorm interrupts her trip.

My A Favorite Review

This was most definitely my favorite of the two books that I read! It was a short book to read, but incredibly sweet. The pain Susanna feels is so poignantly described, and the faith of her relatives is so sweet to read about. The forgiveness offered by her cousins and aunt and uncle was so wonderful to read about! I also thoroughly enjoyed the historical aspect to the book. I would most definitely give this a five star rating, and recommend it to others.

This book is so good — I enjoyed reading it when it was released! I have enjoyed these Christmas book posts, even though they make that TBR list grow ever longer =)

Glad you enjoyed this story. Yeah, lots of good books means lots more to read. 🙂 But it’s a good problem to have, right?
