Do you enjoy reading about Christmas traditions in other countries? Do you like to learn the history behind certain Christmas objects? Today’s book isn’t a story, but it’s a lot of fun.
The World Encyclopedia of Christmas by Gerry Bowler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This isn’t a book you read through from cover to cover. It’s an encyclopedia. It’s so much fun though! You’ll find all things Christmas in here. Christmas movies, books, plays, carols, traditions, and more. There are illustrations. There are different objects associated with Christmas. There are pages about different countries and how they celebrate Christmas. I haven’t read the full book, but I have enjoyed getting to look up different things and reading about things I might never have associated with Christmas before.
What is one of your favorite Christmas decorations at your home? Which country would you like to celebrate Christmas in? Have you ever seen this book before?
