Do you need a Christmas story that is based on a true story? One that can be read to younger siblings? And one that has some WWII stuff in it? Check out today’s story.
Christmas Tapestry by Patricia Polacco

While I’m not too fond of the illustrations in this book, the story is worth reading. I really liked how the son struggled with seeing the reason for their move and the reason for the problems that came, but in the end he could see it was all worth it.
For all WWII fans out there, this is one you might want to read because of, well, I won’t tell.
Have you read this story before? Have you ever had to move to a new place and celebrate Christmas without your friends? Do you like snow or sunshine for Christmas?
