Are you looking for a story that isn’t just a “feel good” Christmas story? Maybe one that has some great characters and that makes you want to find out what happens next? Try today’s story.

Christmas Carol Society by Rebekah Jones

I very much enjoyed this story as it wasn’t just people being obsessed with “A Christmas Carol.” I really liked that Charlie realized that he couldn’t change anyone, only God could change them, but that also didn’t mean he should just sit back and do nothing. The fact that Charlie thought some people’s obsession with “A Christmas Carol” was over the top had me agreeing completely. I really liked Charlie and his family. [Spoiler: The finding and adopting of Ryan was sweet, but did seem rather unrealistic.] Albert was enjoyable, but I did want to find out what happened to Ella. That sort of got dropped and nothing was mentioned about her again.
I loved how the Christianity was a part of the story and the characters, well, the ones who were Christians, and that it wasn’t just stuck in. It didn’t feel preachy.
Will want to read this again.
Have you read Dickens “A Christmas Carol”? Have you read any other Christmas stories that have a lot of another classic Christmas story in them? Would you rather read classic Christmas stories or new ones? Or do you like both?
