Want to travel to another country for Christmas? Eager to try new traditions and see what someone else does? Sorry, no plane tickets here, but this story is almost as good as actually being there.
Erik’s Christmas Camera by Alta Halverson Seymour
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Right from the start I liked Erik. I mean, a boy who pauses in a race to be friendly to an older man no one talks to, is the kind of boy I enjoy reading about. The rest of the characters are a delight too, especially Linnea, and eventually Bertil.
I wanted to go on the long bicycle ride over the Swedish countryside, and attend a Midsummer Eve celebration! And Christmas! It’s such fun reading about the traditions of Christmas and St. Lucia Day in Sweden.
Recommended to boys and girls.
This author has written many different Christmas stories set in different countries. I’ve loved them all! Have you gotten to read any?
I’ve joined Faith Pott’s 12 Days of Christmas celebration and blog hop again this year, so just click on the image to head over and today’s blog posts.
