Do you want a good Christmas story that takes place in another country? How about Switzerland? I know, it makes me want to visit there too.
The Christmas Stove
Alta Halverson Seymour
Peter and Trudi are orphans, living with an aunt in a little Swiss village. There is no money to spare for Christmas presents, but Peter is determined that his little sister shall not be disappointed. Trudi has plans of her own for Peter, and between them they make a merry Christmas and help the family finances too.
My Review
This is such a sweet story full of warmth and love. These children, Peter and Trudi aren’t going to just sit around and feel sorry for themselves because they had to leave their home village and go live with an aunt who hasn’t much money. And Christmas! Written in the delightful style that Alta Seymour always brings to her stories, this is sure to be loved by young and old.
