Favorite Word
What kind of a question is this? I’ve done favorite colors, favorite kinds of ice cream, favorite animal, favorite book, . . . but a favorite word? Are we grasping for new questions? No can do. I don’t have a favorite word.
Now, if we are going to go with beautiful word:
GRACE – God giving us a gift we don’t deserve.
What is one book you think everyone should read?
Just one? Oh, boy! Ummm . . . I’m assuming you mean besides the Bible. Uh, . . . my books? π I really don’t know. Sorry. There are just too many good books. And it would depend on the person, the age, their likes and so on. I know you were expecting a brilliant answer and a book recommendation that you would drop all other books to rush out and get so you could read it. Sorry to disappoint you.
What fictional character is your BFF and why?
Uh, you mean people really have imaginary friends who are BFFs? I never have. I’ve made up stories in my head for as long as I can remember, but I’ve never had a BFF in any of them. Nor have I found a BFF in any books I’ve read. I’ve also never “fallen in love” with a book character either. Am I just strange? Different? Unusual? All of the above? Probably.
Next question.
What book left you wanting to throw it across the room? (Not for content reasons)
If not for content reasons, why would I want to throw a book? I suppose I could say “Sweet On You” because it didn’t really end at the end and it bugged me. I could say one of the other books that I didn’t finish, but that was usually because of content.
How late have you stayed up reading a book?
9:45. Yeah, I know. That’s not late, but I don’t stay up late. I’d rather get up early.
What character do you most resemble from your favorite book/series?
Oh, help. I don’t know. I’m a lot like Anne in Anne of Green Gables, but I don’t think I’d say that series was my favorite.
Do you like first person present tense?
In books? Not really. It’s rather hard to read. I don’t mind first person, it’s just the present tense that is troubling. (And very difficult to write in my opinion.)
Which standalone book do you think should be a series?
I have no idea. Let me think about it and I’ll come back.
Sorry, I still haven’t come up with any. Any book I think of is part of a series even if the next book isn’t written or published yet.
Who is your favorite author?
It hasn’t changed since I was last asked this question: Isabella Alden (Pansy).
Kindle or paperback?
I do like to be able to read new authors/book on my kindle, but I would much rather read a real paperback (or hardcover) book! If I find a kindle book that I really like, I’ll try to get it in paperback so I can read it over and over and share it with my friends.
Do you like reading ahead for spoilers?
Absolutely! (Another reason to love paperbacks!) I’ve told my sister that I like reading ahead and then going back and reading the full book because that way I get to read the interesting parts twice. π
Who is your favorite poet (if anyone)?
Hmm, I do like Longfellow and Robert Lewis Stephenson. But I don’t know if I have a favorite.
What genre do you read most often?
I think it’s a tie between Historical Fiction and Christian Fiction. I love history and if I can get a Christian Historical Fiction that’s even better, I’m delighted.
How many books do you own? (Be honest!)
π You want the exact number? Hang on, let me go count. (You can use this time to take a break if you want as it will take me a little while.)
Okay, I’m back with my total. Now this does not include any kindle books. Ready?
847
And that, my readers, is the end of the questions. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading them. Now I’m supposed to tag other bloggers and come up with my own questions? Well, I’m going to borrow some of the questions I was given.
Favorite Word (Sorry, instructions required it.)
- What is one book you think everyone should read?
- What book series that you (or your family) owns has the most books?
- What book left you wanting to throw it across the room? (For content reasons or otherwise.)
- How late have you stayed up reading a book?
- Do you like first person present tense?
- Which standalone book do you think should be a series?
- What series do you wish had another book or two?
- Who is your favorite author?
- Kindle or paperback?
- Do you like reading ahead for spoilers?
- What genre do you read most often?
- Do you write reviews for books you read?
- How many books do you own? (Be honest!)
Now to nominate others . . .
Kate at Once Upon An Ordinary (Yes, I know she nominated me, but I want to see her answers to these questions, besides, there’s nothing in the rules that says no tag-backs.)
Victoria Lynn at Ruffles and Grace
Jesseca at Whimsical Writings for His Glory
Victoria at Victoria Minks
Allison at Allison’s Well
If you want to answer these questions too, consider yourself tagged. You can answer them in a comment or on your blog. Just let me know if it’s on a blog and I’ll go read them.

It didn’t day I couldn’t tag you back. π I don’t care where I read your answers, so a comment would be fine. π Glad you enjoyed my answers. It was a fun tag.
Allison Tebo says
Rebekah – thank you so much for tagging me! These are fun answers.
YOU SKIP AHEAD IN BOOKS!! ‘high fives’ – you are one of the few people it seems who do – all RIGHT!!
‘gapes in admiration’ I LOVE YOUR ANSWER ABOUT SKIPPING AHEAD. ‘look of utter admiration’ – why didn’t I think of that response? π
readanotherpage says
*high five* Yay! Someone else who likes to skip ahead and still reads the book! π You have my full permission to now use the same response when someone thinks you are crazy about reading ahead.
Let me know when you get your answers up because I don’t want to miss them. π

I had fun reading your answers to these questions, Rebekah!
