Services

As an author, I know how difficult it can be to find someone really interested in reading and writing reviews for my books. Since I love to read, I am offering my services to test read, edit, and/or review your book. However, there are some books that I will not read.

 

• Science Fiction
• Paranormal
• Thriller
• Romance (if it contains any adult scenes)
• Fantasy
• Alternate Fiction (where history is changed)

 

I love historical fiction (though I do like things to be accurate!), christian fiction, mystery, modern fiction and others. I do reserve the right to refuse to read your book for whatever reason if the need arises. (I may be too busy or it may be that the synopsis of the book tells me I won’t like it.)
 
 

Test Reading:

I am willing to test read an early copy (or a published copy) of your book in exchange for a copy of the book. (It can be a paper copy or a kindle version.) After I have read the book, I will write a 3-5 sentence review and send it to you. If you want it posted on Amazon and/or Goodreads, I would be happy to do that. I may or may not point out any major flaws I see, but will not go into great detail.

Just keep in mind that I may not be able to accept every request as I am an author and do have other responsibilities.

General Review:

A General Review would consist of pointing out major flaws, problems or historical inaccuracies that I find while reading. I won’t be looking for typos, grammar errors, or ways you can make the story better.

Story of up to 33,000 words = $10.00
Novel of up to 65,000 words = $20.00

More Specific Editing:

This editing would include the General Review as well as offering advice about parts that could be improved, smaller problems or historical inaccuracies that wouldn’t have been mentioned before, wrong character names and other things I might find. I won’t be looking for grammar, typos or punctuation problems.

Teacher’s Review and Editing:

This is what I would mark if you were my writing student. All the things I have mentioned above, plus any typos, grammar errors, punctuation problems, or ways to improve and better your story. And, if you have any questions about what I mark, I will be happy to reply to e-mails about anything I marked.
