Today I’m just going to give you a quote to think about. I’ve shared it before, but it’s worth sharing again.

If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.
~Haruki Murakami
What about you? Do you tend to only read what everyone else is reading? Or do you like to branch out and read other books? Do you try other genres?

Hmm, good quote! I have tried different genres, since our parents wanted us to be well-read and explore different author styles lol. What about you, Rebekah?
Yep, I’ve read lots of genres! And old books and new books, and fiction and non-fiction. 😀
Ooh, that’s a good one! I have some niche tastes so I’m not always reading the popular ones but occasionally I do purchase a hyped indie book, but only if it’s recommended by people I trust 😆
Trying different books is good, but sometimes hyped books don’t end up being to my taste. 🙂
Nice quote! I do like to read what genres I’m familiar with, but I am open to branching out to new things. I’m super picky about what books I read, so when I find something new I like, that’s awesome!
~Ashley
Yes, familiar genres are good, and sometimes branching out into a different genre, or even just a different books that you haven’t read or authors you haven’t tried can be good.
