There are many book series. Some are more popular and others are not. I thought it would be fun to have a series about book series and share some of these with you all.
The Accidental Cases of Emily Abbott by Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick
Overview:
Emily Abbott works as a barista in Phoenix, AZ and stumbles across the fact that her new co-worker isn’t what he appears to be. This discovery leads to many accidental adventures as an accidental spy.
Main Characters and Relationships:
Emily and Brent are coworkers and become friends. There is no romance in them so far. They do get concerned for each other but that’s what friends do. There are not a lot of relationships in these stories except for Izzy, and she’s just fun.
Pros and Cons:
Pros: They are fun to read. They are fairly short easy to read. They are clean. No swearing, no romance. Great characters. These are Christian books and the Christianity is not just tacked on.
Cons: You will want to read the next book as soon as you finish one. They are addicting.
My Thoughts:
I love this series. It’s a comfort read. When I just need something fun, somewhat exciting, but not too intense, short, and clean, I find myself reaching for an Emily Abbott book. I love that each book isn’t too long, but long enough for some action and laughs. I’m eagerly waiting for the next book in the series to come out.
How Many Books:
Right now there are 8 books. Plus a short story that goes between Book 6 and Book 7. Book 9 is currently being written but I don’t know when it’s coming out.
Have you read this series before? If so, what did you think of it? If you’ve never read the series, do you think you’d be interested?

Yes! I just reread them all again this year. I tried to space them out and make them last but . . . It was really hard to do!
