Welcome to this year’s Read Another Page Reading Challenge!
What would a blog with a title like Read Another Page be without reading challenges?
I don’t know about you, but reading challenges have made me read many more books than I usually do. And some are even ones I wouldn’t have picked up otherwise. So let’s challenge ourselves with some reading this year! This will be the 3rd year I’ve hosted a reading challenge on my blog. And each year has been different. This year is no exception. Are you ready to join?
First the rules because what’s a challenge without rules?
- These books may be read in any order. You do NOT have to start at the top and read down.
- You may count any books you read for this challenge for other challenges if you wish.
- In order for your books to count they must be read in 2020 between January 1 and June 30.
- Unless indicated all books must be at least a few chapters in length. (Even two or three chapters, but they must have chapters!)
- This challenge starts January 1st, and ends June 30th 2020. Any books read during that time count.
Now let’s get started!
To sign up simply comment on this page about the challenge, or send me a message somewhere and let me know you’re joining. I’ll add your name to the Reading Companions page.
When you’ve read a book (or more than one if you’d rather) comment on this Reading Challenge 2020 Page and I’ll mark you down for those books.

I have a few books read!
#6, a book from my TBR list: Song of the Silent Harp–I have reviewed this: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2889415532
#7, a book from my TBR list: When Tides Turn–I have reviewed this: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1775644448
#11, nonfiction: Amusing Ourselves to Death–no review, but here’s the link to the book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/74034.Amusing_Ourselves_to_Death
#17, book a friend recommends: With Every Breath–reviewed: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3218347899
#24, Self-improvement book: Dig Deeper (not reviewed, but here’s the link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7945474-dig-deeper)
Also, you mentioned that books must have chapters. Does that mean that Tintin doesn’t count?
CutePolarBear
readanotherpage says
Great job reading!
I’ve never read a Tintin book. If it’s long enough to have chapters but just doesn’t then I’ll go with it. I just don’t want everyone reading a bunch of short stories for this challenge.
Does that answer your question?
CutePolarBear says
It’s a graphic novel, so it doesn’t have chapters. I suppose individually, they are pretty short (I read it in one sitting), but I did read one full volume, which has three individual stories in it. I can count that for #14 reread. (Link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87420.The_Adventures_of_Tintin_Vol_5?from_search=true&from_srp=true&qid=bQ8Al8eYPI&rank=5)
CutePolarBear
readanotherpage says
Yes, that would work. 🙂 I’ll get it added for you.

CutePolarBear says
Oops, sorry–that was actually #15–I reread The Call of the Wild.
Also, I read A Daughter of Zion, which is for category #4 (my mom liked that series). Here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3322235528?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1

#19, a story that takes places outside the US: Honor in the Dust; review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3319597784
#20, a new-to-you author: Not By Sight; review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2200859357
Also–hate to bother you again for my little mess-up–but I noticed you took away #17 from the Reading Companions page (which was originally With Every Breath). So even though The Call of the Wild was #15, not #17 (which you fixed), I still had completed #17. I hope that makes sense.
CutePolarBear
readanotherpage says
Okay, that makes sense. 🙂 I’ll get that fixed and the other books added.

I read another book from my TBR list, Twilight’s Serenade by Tracie Peterson (review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2889414555?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1). So I guess that would count for … #9.
Also, I read Through the Woods by Isabella Alden, hoping it could count for a short story. It doesn’t really have “chapters”, per say, but the story is split into two parts. Here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3373311013?type=review#rating_289935720 Does it count?

#6 – “A Journey For Faith” by Katrina Lambert
#11 – Book of Genesis (Can books of the Bible count?)
I actually forgot about writing reviews until just the other day… so, I didn’t end up getting any actually written. :/ But I’m happy I at least read the nine books I did. Without this challenge spurring me on, I probably wouldn’t have even gotten THAT many read… So, thank you so much for putting on this challenge, Rebekah! It was fun, and I’m so glad I got to participate! 🙂
God bless, and good job to everyone!
