There are so many Christmas stories. But here is one that I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy it when I picked it up. But I did. And I think you will too.
One Last Christmas: A Christian Novella by Ruth Kyser
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
After attempting to read a few other “christian” Christmas stories, I tried this one. It was a delightful read! Very refreshing to have the characters actually praying over their troubles and seeking the Lord’s direction. I loved the whole “are our grandmothers related” aspect of the story. And the romance was just a sideline. And the focus of Christmas was Christ, not presents or “feelings.”
This is a story I’ll most likely be reading again next season.
What is a Christmas book you weren’t sure you’d enjoy before you started reading and ended up really liking? Have you read this one yet?
I’ve joined Faith Pott’s 12 Days of Christmas celebration and blog hop again this year, so just click on the image to head over and today’s blog posts.
This one sounds really good!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it!
This looks like a good one! Is it a sad story though? With the title “One Last Christmas” it kind of sounds like it might be to me, but of course, sometimes you can’t always tell a book by it’s title. π
I was expecting it to be, but it really wasn’t that sad. I want to read it again, and usually if it’s too sad, one time is enough for me. π
Oh okay, that’s nice! (I’m not a big fan of sad stories myself) I might have to give this one a try then. π
Yes, I’m not a fan of sad stories either, but I liked this one.
The 12 Days Of Christmas is a book I would love to read.

I don’t know if I’ve heard of that book. Who is it by?
Have I read it yet? At the time of your post, I’d never heard of it. But by the end of yesterday, I had read it. π I liked it too. But not nearly as well as the one I read today. Something about quilts and snowstorms and traveling. That’s my favorite Christmas story I’ve read this season. =)
Off to review something. π

Hmm, a Christmas story that has quilts and snowstorms? Sounds interesting. Maybe I’ll have to check it out sometime. π
Glad you liked it, I look forward to reading your review.
Sounds sweet! π
π It was.
