When I first started posting on this blog on a regular basis, I had high hopes and plans. I was going to write a helpful post each week about some aspect of writing, publishing or marketing. Something I had learned or was learning, updates on my books and other insightful things. I even got a calendar and started to jot down what I was going to post each week. Great ideas. I just didn’t take into consideration who I am.
I am not organized, regimental, and list focused. I am random, spontaneous, a spur-of-the-moment person, and very un-organized in some areas. And, if I try to write blog posts each week in a way that is not me, I’m going to burn out. Just thought I’d tell you. You can still expect posts about all things writing, but there might be days, like today, when you get something random. I hope you still enjoy.
I was tagged for this by Kate and thought it sounded like such fun, so here we go!
- What are some of your favorite
“Snuggle Weather” books?
Anything new. Really, I love reading new books. But then again, I’m just as likely to pull some “Pansy” books off the shelf or perhaps a Dave Dawson if I want a really fast-paced, light read. If I want a good laugh, I’m probably going to grab Perry’s Kitten Files books since I got the paper copies for Christmas. 🙂
- What is you favorite wintry snack?
Hmm, Are you trying to make me hungry? Ginger cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, leftover Christmas cookies from the freezer (yes, I do let them thaw), spice cookies, peppermint ice cream . . . Okay, okay, next question before I go raid the cabinet!
- What are some of your favorite hot
I have two. Hot apple cider and hot chocolate. Sometimes with the hot chocolate I’ll slip a mint truffle kiss into my mug and let it melt. Mmmmm.
- What are some of your favorite
Oh, dear, how can I decide? . . . Okay, here are a few. “1,000 Men and a Baby” (otherwise known as “Narrow Escape”), “A Grandpa for Christmas,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “The Christmas Card” (This one is a little more on the romance side.), and I could go on. It’s usually difficult to pick which ones our whole family is going to watch because we want to watch most of them and we don’t have time for that.
- What are some of your favorite holiday
Um. I don’t know. I love Christmas songs. “In the Bleak Mid Winter” is a favorite and so are most of the traditional Christmas carols. I’m not much into the new songs, but I do like “Born to Die.”
- Favorite snow [rainy, cloudy,
rainy-ish, cloudy-ish] day crafts?
Let’s see, knitting baby hats or blankets, quilting if I have a quilt already pieced and the quilt frame already set up, papercutting, I just love papercutting! The more intricate the pattern, the better I like it. Redwork, I haven’t done much of this, but it’s something I have found delightful and I just wish I had more time to do it.
- Do you want to build a snowman?
Yes! I’ve built some snowmen, but they weren’t that great. I think my favorite was a little one my mom and I built once. We put a political shirt on him and pretended it was our State Rep. come to call. 🙂 We just don’t get much snow to really get creative.
Well, what did you think? Do you like regimented blog posts or are you more on the spontaneous side? If you would like to be tagged by this, go ahead. My hand is out. Just touch it and I’ll say, “You’re it!”
